HEAVYPAINT is an art app with a difference. Its tools are not precise, and upon initial use seem unwieldy and random. It appears to be designed to be hard to use. It is almost an anti-photoshop. It appears on the surface to only have some very simple and rudimentary painting options.
Then, as you start to experiment with it you start to realize there is something immensely satisfying about the apparent restrictions. In many ways they are liberating rather than actually restrictive.
From its simple strokes you can learn how to create some cool images without feeling the need to constantly perfect things. It is immediate in a way that photoshop or even Procreate and their ilk can never really be.

It is a tool that can push and pull at your artistic inclinations in interesting ways. Well worth checking out if you haven't played with it already.There is something strangely satisfying with experimenting with having *less* control.
