Friends with Kickstarters

Two Kickstarter projects to mention today, both hailing (in part at least) from some of my ex-colleagues and partners in crime from the Funcom days.

First up is one for the old point and click adventure enthusiasts. Norse Noir: Loki's Exile comes from the team at Kreativespill, many of whom worked on the Anarchy Online team. They are an awesome bunch with some talented storytellers aboard. So if you fancy yourself a tale that twists between some good old fashioned noir themes, a little urban fantasy, and the Norse pantheon, then check it out!

The world of crowd funding is, if you will forgive the pun, getting more crowded all the time, so visibility becomes important for smaller teams, so if you like what you see make sure to help spread the word!

Next up is Moon Hunters from the team at Kitfox games. One of the Kitfox founders, Tanya Short, who was one of the senior designers on both Age of Conan and The Secret World. Regular readers will know that I mentioned their debut effort, Shattered Planet before here on the blog, and I'm equally excited for this follow-up!

The team have already crushed their funding goal (which was a modest $45,000) and are steaming on towards some very interesting stretch goals, like online multiplayer and a Vita version! It's one I can't wait to get my hands on, so make sure you have a watch.

I like nothing more than seeing old friends being successful when heading out on their own with these indie projects. It's a competitive space, so it's always worth supporting your favorite indie projects!
