....got to see She and Him perform at John Dee in Oslo tonight, and glad I did. Zooey Deschanel is an oddly nervous front person, reminded me of a young Michael Stipe in many ways (at least in mannerism, not voice!), seemingly out of place and a touch lost between songs yet while performing completely confident with the material...a compelling dervish of energy and passion, jumping, bouncing and clapping through the setlist at breakneck speed. They were a much better live act than I had expected to be honest, well worth the cost of admission. Worth noting the excellent band at their side too who helped put on a great live show, well worth catching if you like the music get the chance to see them...
It was actually a good night for music in Olso with the Editors playing upstairs at Rockefeller and Faithless in concert at Sentrum half a block away (would have gladly seen any of those shows!).
