...no not any morbid news in any way, just the new Absolute edition of Neil Gaiman's Death arriving on my desk. As it is for many Death was always my favorite character from the cast of the Sandman series. Just as the previous Absolute editions from Vertigo served as a fitting tribute to the original Sandman so this one does for the various Death spin-offs that were born from Sandman.
The edition isn't quite as large or elaborate as any of the Absolute Sandman editions but it is still a gorgeous collectors piece. The new larger format again shows off the wonderful art that graced the series and it will be a pleasure to sit down and read through these stories again...and just in time for the time of year that seems most fitting to celebrate Gaiman's gothic creations.
