Just something totally compelling about a good storm for me...at least compelling enough to drag myself out of bed, grab the camera and try to get some pictures. Taking pictures of lightning (or rather attempting to) is about as close to complete blind luck as you can get with a camera when you are at my level of knowledge...800 pictures later, a couple actually came out quite nicely!
