Playing with the formula

I always like it when an ongoing show plays with their format a little for dramatic effect. The latest episode of House - Locked In - was a great example. Most of the story is told through the eyes and mind of this week's patient, played by Mos Def, who is completely paralyzed but lucid in thought. It's a novelty episode for sure, but very well executed. It is not something you want to see done every episode, but once a season it's a nice change of pace to play with the format like that.

After a slightly mundane start, I'm really enjoying the latest season of House as it moves towards it's final episodes.
